HR: Employee Handbook
 

This employee handbook is designed to assist new employees as they make the transition into their positions at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO). The handbook contains information about many Smithsonian programs and synthesizes, alphabetically, information compiled from various brochures, pamphlets, and issuances. We hope it will be a useful reference tool for you throughout your career at Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory.

This Handbook is not meant to be the only source of information on all of SAO's policies and procedures. If you have a question that is not answered in the Handbook, or if you would like more details about a subject covered in the following pages, please talk with your supervisor, administrative officer, or your human resources specialist or assistant in the Human Resources Department.
