Winter School 2018: Quantum Metrology
ITAMP/B2 Institute Winter Graduate School on AMO Physics 2018
This is the 7th in a series of Winter Graduate Schools for AMO Physics and will be held from February 18-24, 2018 on the B2 Institute Campus. The main theme will be Quantum Metrology, Quantum processes and techniques, such as entanglement and squeezing, aiding measurements now overlapping atomic and optical physics, sensing and gravitational wave detection.
The school will bring together topnotch lecturers who will each give multiple lectures along these themes in a relaxed atmosphere that leaves plenty of time for informal discussions and interactions, away from the distractions of everyday life, with plenty of opportunities for teachers and students to mingle outside the classroom, and possible to initiate new collaborative projects. The meeting is aimed primarily at graduate students representing a broad spectrum of interests in experimental and theoretical research in AMO physics and who come from geographical diverse programs.
Organized by The Institute for Theoretical Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics* and the B2 Institute
