LiveSafe is the new alerting service already in use at Smithsonian. All CfA staff can now use the LiveSafe app to receive alerting about weather-related impacts to work schedules, building closures, emergency notifications, etc. This service is replacing "SendWordNow" beginning immediately. SendWordNow will continue to be used in addition to LiveSafe for the time being, though no new accounts are available, and the use of SendWordNow will be discontinued as soon as the community has had some time to install the LiveSafe app.
In order to use LiveSafe, you must install the LiveSafe app on either an iPhone or Android device. The short version is: install the LiveSafe app, and select "SIOEM" as the organization and "SI-SAO Cambridge MA" as the community. Detailed instructions are available here.
