In this example the plane wave is polarized with the E field in the y direction, but it is otherwise identical to the third example. The magnitude of the E field is shown.  Since this polarization cannot propagate down the gap in the -z direction, essentially all the power is scattered isotropically.  The rms field strength of the incoming wave is 1 V/m.
