Data type
Project type
Science data are science observations that have an assigned SMA project code. They will contain both science targets & flux/gain/bandpass calibrators.
Flux data are an internal SMA project dedicated to monitoring the fluxes of SMA gain calibrators.
Baseline data are an internal SMA project used to derive baseline solutions following an antenna move.
▶ OBSERVATION
Data directory
Data directory
SMA data directory name. Example format: 191125_01:34:48.
Occasionally, a single complete observation will span more than one data directory. In this case the directories will need to be concatenated. Please check 'Associated directories' in the observing report to see if this is the case.
Date range
Date range
Single date: YYMMDD Date range: YYMMDD-YYMMDD
Min. observation length
Min. observation length
The minimum duration/length in hours of the data directory. This corresponds to the observation length.
Occasionally, a single complete observation will span more than one data directory. In this case the directories will need to be concatenated. Please check 'Associated directories' in the observing report to see if this is the case.
Public data only
Public data only
The proprietary period is 15 months. Data older than this is available to download.
▶ TUNING
Frequency
Frequency
Return data that include this sky frequency (the frequency at the telescope) in one or more sidebands.
Available for data taken from 7 Oct 2016 onwards.
LO Frequency
LO Frequency
The LO (local oscillator) frequency that either receiver was tuned to during the observation.
Note that the IF (intermediate frequency) is 4 GHz.
