This directory holds release 3.1 of SGK's libraries (Mar 16 2019):

  sgkIDLlib.tgz:   holds my routines
  colmaps.tgz:     holds my colormaps
  help/help.html:  documentation
  help/primer.txt: primer on some routines (to be expanded)

  download and extract the tar-gzipped archive, it will create the following
  subdirectories: 

    io/        I/O related routine (byte order & swapping)
    color/     color table related routines
    fitsio/    FITS I/O routines
    math/      math routines
    misc/      misceleanous
    plot/      plotting related routines
    widgets/   widget related routine 
    obsolete/  obsolete routine, for backward compatibility
    
    help/      documentation (help files), viewable with olh, xhelp,
               widget_olh or a web brouwser

    primer.txt: primer on some routines (to be expanded)

    startup:    example to setup IDL -- valid for account at CfA (cf)

    scale_idleps.pl:  rescale an IDL Encapsulated PostScript

  For further instructions look in the help/ directory at the overview.* files.

  To access the help files:

    - point your browser to the file help/help.html
    or
    - setup your !path and !help_path for IDL as explained in the file
      help/overview.sgk (and illustrated in startup) and use my routine OHL

  The file primer.txt is a set of examples on how to use some of the
routines. It needs to be expanded, with examples provided by (you) the users.

  The file setup is an example on how to setup IDL -- works for account at CfA
  (on cf-managed machines)
