AFGL 915 - the Red Rectangle

Grayscale image of the 11.22 micron image of AFGL 915 from November 1994, taken at UKIRT with MIRAC. The emission at this wavelength includes contributions from the warm dust continuum and the strong unidentified IR emission feature at 11.2 microns. The inner part of the nebula is saturated in this display to better show the faint extensions from the corners of the ``rectangle".
