This photo was taken at
Lyman Orchards, in Connecticut.
Abby & her parents went on a very long (10-month) trip to
Connecticut from 8/01-6/02, so that her Daddy could go to Yale Law School
& her Mommy could be on Òsabbatical.Ó Abby had many great adventures in Connecticut, including
navigating the Òcorn maizeÓ (a Labyrinth made of corn plants) with Papa at
Lyman Orchards. Abby went to a
Montessori school in Woodbridge, Connecticut where she learned some new works
and made some new friends (e.g. Alexander Tellides), but she missed her
Purple Room friends and CMS pretty much. In Connecticut, Abby also missed being close to her Auntie
Ruth, who lives in Cambridge.
When we came back in the Summer of 2001 (after ending MommyÕs
sabbatical in Italy, see later photo), Abby went to the Shady Hill Camp,
which she enjoyed tremendously.
Then, she came back to the Purple Room.
