Dan Clemens was very concerned that perhaps the 12CO gas was pre-existing and that some massive stars to the left in the figure above had pre-eroded all the dense gas. That seems physically hard to me, as itís easier to erode low density gas than high.
Also--AG worries that since total mass in lobe is only about 1 solar mass, the outflow may appear to be moving a lot of gas around, but by mass itís not really that much? That depends on time scales--is 1 solar mass moved per/?, or what?
