Visitors from abroad may find it easier to cash a stipend check at Bank of America branch offices in Harvard Square or Porter Square (1847 Massachusetts Ave.).

For Harvard staff and fellows, another option is to open an account at the Harvard University Credit Union. You need to fill out an application and submit it with proof of Harvard employment (your Harvard ID).
