Harvard scholars who are not eligible for employee benefits are referred to as affiliates for health insurance purposes. The only Harvard plan available to affiliates is the Harvard Student and Affiliate Plan. Affiliates must enroll in the Harvard Plan within 30 days of their appointment start date, or within 30 days after their arrival in the U.S. However, prior to enrollment, please ask your administrator to obtain a sign-off from the Harvard Faculty of Arts & Sciences HR office.
