   this error indicates a very old miriad binary that was built again libg2c.
So is there a $MIR/VERSION file? Any idea where you got the miriad from, is
this the SMA binary,or some other? I would have expected libgfortran.
E.g. mine:

ldd `which cgdisp` =>  (0x00007fff73cf6000) => /astromake/opt/miriad/cvs/lib/linux/ (0x00007f0b8be60000) => /astromake/opt/miriad/cvs/lib/linux/ (0x00007f0b8bbec000) => /astromake/opt/miriad/cvs/lib/linux/ (0x00007f0b8b9df000) => /astromake/opt/miriad/cvs/lib/linux/ (0x00007f0b8b6cf000) => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8b395000) => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8b06a000) => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8ad61000) => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8a997000) => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8a775000) => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8a571000) => /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8a332000) => /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ (0x00007f0b8a11c000)
