Introduction

Miriad is a radio interferometry data reduction package. Miriad can be configured for the specifications required by the SMA. A few specific codes for the SMA have been developed and are supported. Miriad now can be used for the reduction of continuum and spectral line observations from loading of the original SMA data (Caltech's MIR formats) through to the image analysis.

The SMA features have particular emphasis on aspects of interest to users of the SMA. This group supports the off-line software areas. These include software tools used for calibration and analysis of the SMA data observed at submillimeter wavelengths. The newly deveopled codes are (will be) placed in SMA-Miriad test codes before they are folded into Miriad . A tarball of the testing codes can be downloaded and be installed in Miriad .
