Basic Information on posvel
Task: posvel
Purpose: Make position-velocity plot from xyz image.
Categories: image analysis
POSVEL makes position-velocity maps along selected position
angle.The output can be plotted, printed, or written out
as a Miriad image.
Key: in
Input image name. No default.
Key: device
The PGPLOT plotting device. The default is no plot.
Key: region
Region of image to be plotted. E.g.
% image region=relpix,box(-30,-30,20,90)(16,57)
reads in 50 x 120 pixels of image planes 16 to 57.
The default is the whole Image. The current size limit is 128 in
any dimension.
Key: out
The output position-velocity image if desired.
The default is no output image is written.
Key: slice
Three numbers for center and position angle of slice.
center in arcsec w.r.t. image center; position angle in degrees.
Key: conv
Convolving beam major axis, minor axis, and position angle (deg).
Default is no convolution.
Key: nxy
Number of plot windows in x and y directions. Default fits
up to 5 per page.
Key: slev
Type of contour level. "p" for percentage, and "a" for absolute.
Default=p
Key: levs
Contour levels. Default is 10% contours.
Key: units
Jy or Kelvin units ("K"). Default units=J
