Basic Information on pntgen

Task: pntgen
Purpose: Generate fake pointing data.
Categories: pointing analysis

PNTGEN generates fake pointing data and calculates the errors
which arise from using linear pointing equations.
The default is to print out the pointing errors and the
difference in arcmin from the linear pointing equations.
If an output file is specified then PNTGEN also generates
a file containing npts of pointing data at random
azimuth and elevation points within azrange and elrange.

Key: collim
Collimation angle in arcmin between telescope axis and
normal to elevation axis. Default=0.

Key: tilt
Tilt angle in arcmin of azimuth axis. Default=0.

Key: npts
Number of samples of pointing data generated. Default=100.

Key: azrange
Azimuth range of pointing data generated. Minimum and
maximum values in degrees. Default=-85,85.

Key: elrange
Elevation range of pointing data generated. Minimum and
maximum values in degrees. Default=5,85.

Key: out
Output filename for pointing data.
e data in CARMA 12sep05 ddmmmyy before the UT format
