I have looked into the beta Miriad for SMA data reduction version
1.3.0 installed on the CF computer system at Cambridge. With the script
(http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/sma/miriad/spec/SMAscripts/modes/2RxSTD/2GHz/Ver1.0/Drx2GHz.),
I tested smauvspec on cfa0 (centOS) with the SMA data from the
standard Miriad path. The task appears to be fine with various input
setups. There may be bugs for the data from other path or if one runs
the beta on other OS. We are asked to focus on one standard path on
Redhat and centOS to get Miriad work for handling SMA data taken with
various observing modes. After the last polarization mode with dual
receivers (350 GHZ with 400 GHz) done (we are getting there), we will
integrate the SMA components back to the Miriad CVS. Then, the bugs
related to OS platforms and various path data from SMA or other
interferometers will be automatically taken care.
