Dear Jun-Hui
I am convinced that the latest version of smaflux is not working
properly. It's not the installation problem on my part
and it is not the problem of ephemeris catalogs.
Here are some facts:
1. I downloaded bRHsmaMiriad20May2011.tar.gz and did binary
installation following the instruction,
and nothing work. No matter what tasks I run, I got "Floating exception".
2. I uploaded my file to rtdchilo2 at Hilo, and what I got is exactly
the same as the message I got from my
own computer (with the version from regular installation)
[slai@rtdchilo2 very_extended]$ smaflux vis=110125_rx1.usb.tsys.48.bp
select='pol(ll,rr),so(titan)' mirhome=$MIR

3. Look at the ephemeris catalogs in $MIR/cat/smaplmdl,
those catalogs do cover the the Julian date of my observations.
Julian date of the ephemeris catalogs : 52640 to 55926
My observations: MJD= 55586.4688
So, from the fact that the latest version of smaflux is 17-02-07 version,
I seriously wonder if this version can really handle the 4 GHz mode data.
I am sorry for bothering you so much, but I really like doing
everything in miriad and
want to avoid MIR as much as I can...

The code smaflux.for has not been changed since Feb. 17, 2007.
So in beta 1.3.1, 'SmaFlux: version 1.1 17-02-07' has been kept.
In other words, you were using the latest version of smaflux but
the out-of-date ephemeris catalogs which caused you the fatal error
in smaflux. The problem should have gone by using
the beta Miriad 1.3.1 where the ephemeris has been updated.
Please use beta Miriad 1.3.1. Here is the tarball of the binary
codes (beta 1.3.1) which contains the latest version of "smaflux":

Again your version of Miriad for SMA data reduction appears
to be out of date. The Fatal Error in "smaflux" that you reported is
related to the ephemeris of the solar objects which has been
updated in the beta release (SMA beta release 1.3.1).
