Volkmar Studtrucker

Volkmar Studtrucker is a composer, musician, and music teacher who lives in Niederndorf, Germany. Starting in the late 1970s he played and composed for several Jazz and Latin bands in the Nuremberg area. In 1986 he graduated with the degree of state-certified music instructor from the Meistersinger Konservatorium in Nuremberg. Since 1987 Volkmar Studtrucker has been an instructor for piano and flute. He composed a series of music pieces for students at various skill levels. In 1990 he embarked on a search for novel ways to embody and celebrate the values of natural and harmonic processes through classically inspired musical forms. This new approach to composing has given rise to several Symphonies, chamber music, an Oratorium, and a Piano Concerto.

Gerhard Sonnert

Gerhard Sonnert is a Research Associate at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and an Associate of the Harvard Physics Department. His research has been mainly on gender in science, science policy, and science education, and he has published numerous articles and ten books, among them Einstein and Culture (2005). He received an M.A. and a doctorate in sociology from the University of Erlangen, Germany, and an M.P.A. from Harvard University. He is also a bass player and was a member of the Boston-area band Move. In the 1970s and 1980s, he played with Volkmar Studtrucker in the bands Infrastruktur and Infrastruktur II.

Hans-Peter Albrecht

Hans-Peter Albrecht started playing the drums at the age of 17. His first band was Triton, in which he played together with Volkmar Studtrucker. This band's repertoire consisted mainly of their own Modern Jazz compositions. In the following years, he worked in different musical styles with several jazz, funk, and soul bands. With the current X-ray project, he returns to his roots in Modern Jazz. He is a physician, with a specialty in dermatology, in Erlangen, Germany.
