The FLWO Ridge Complex: A Report to OIR
Dr. Emilio Falco, CfA
The new generation of instruments on the MMT offers outstanding scientific
opportunities for CfA scientists, but we need to think carefully about the
best way to support their use and data analysis while improving what we are
doing on the ridge. I recently traveled to Arizona to consider ways we can
improve our operations at the Whipple Observatory, and to think ahead to the
era (not far off!) when operating MMT instruments and dealing with the data
they produce will be major activities in Amado and in Cambridge. My report
is available as a postscript file at:
http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/~falco/FLWOreport.ps.
We hope that the ideas therein will stimulate a lively and interesting
discussion.
