Piedmont Response to COVID-19

Since the beginning of the pandemic and impact to our local area our landlord, Piedmont, has followed the guidance of the CDC, local and state orders. They have kept the tenants informed of the guidance and their support of the proper protocols to keep everyone safe.

Other than the well briefed social distancing guidelines Piedmont has:

  • Established task force of senior level management
  • Assembled a Covid-19 Rapid response team; developed protocol for reported cases in buildings
  • Closed building fitness center until further notice
  • Closed café until further notice
  • Secured building 24/7 ensuring only approved access is allowed
  • Required all tenants to wear masks in all common areas of the building
  • Delegated to the tenant to establish appropriate guidelines for our space
  • Created a Return to Work, tenant Guide
  • Held town hall meeting to discuss the posture and review the tenant guide
  • Early on planned for months ahead of cleaning and sanitization products
  • Provided masks to engineering/janitorial staff and reinforced social distancing to their employees
  • Enforced new vendor policy which includes the COVID Protective Measures Agreement that all Vendors have created, enacted, and currently maintains a suitable health and safety protocol and plan designed to address the health and safety concerns and considerations raised by or relating to COIVID-19.
  • Switched from all-purpose general cleaners to EPA registered disinfectants
  • Increased frequency of cleaning in all high traffic areas and on all high touch surfaces
  • Continued maintenance of the facility during shelter in place and adjusting water/power/lighting systems for energy savings
  • Placed signage throughout the facility enforcing CDC & state health guidelines, social distancing practices and requesting all tenants and visitors to wear masks while in the building. Lobby. Elevators, restrooms or common areas. Signage includes, stanchions, floor markings and window decals.
  • Placed hand sanitizer stations around the facility
  • Limited occupancy in elevators
  • Extended run time of HVAC systems outside normal business operating hours
  • Increased outdoor air ventilation as conditions permit
  • Started a nightly system purge to circulate outside air throughout the building and then exhaust
  • Continued use of MERV-13 air filters
