Updates to Cambridge Discovery Park (7/27/20)

HVAC Systems
Rooftop units (RTU) have MERV 13 filters which are normally changed out quarterly but with COVID -19 filters are being changed monthly.
Bulfinch (the landlord) has approved a purging of the RTU's twice a day. Purging is the RTU's bringing in 100% outside air for 15-20 minutes and exhausting out the current air. RTU's will then return to normal, i.e. 10-25% outside air after purging. The purging has not started yet, but Billy Duggan will soon inform the landlord. Bulfinch is also investigating using ion strips in RTU's but no decision has been made.
Signage
All required signage has been posted throughout as required. Jim Shaw reviewed and approved locations and signage.
Bathrooms
Upgrades include cleaning charts signs posted on bathroom doors indicating use by one person only and foot pulls have been installed in all SAO bathrooms. Touchless water faucets and soap dispensers have been in use for years. Bulfinch has purchased touchless towel dispensers and will be installed when they receive supply of paper towels.
Hand pump disinfectants are located in bathrooms.
Common Areas
Frequent disinfection of all CDP common and shared space areas is performed throughout the day.
Touchless soap dispensers have been installed in our breakrooms.
Touchless disinfectant dispensers installed outside SAO elevators.
Signs have been placed on the refrigerators reminding all to remove items daily
Other Changes
Stairways are one way. As of now SAO hallways are two way.
CDP elevators have signage (Bulfinch) indicating 2 per elevator, not 1 per SI, but we encourage staff to abide by SI guidelines.
There are 6 ft distancing floor markers in the base building area main entrance, loading dock, hallway and elevators. SAO has no floor markers, but plenty of 6ft distancing signs displayed throughout 100 Acorn.
Toasters, toaster ovens, microwave ovens, coffee makers and magazines have been removed and stored away.
The breaker to the overhead microwave oven and the stove top oven in the 3rd floor breakroom have been turned off.
Vending machines remain, but signs have been added to remind all to wash hands before using the vending machines.
A sign-in sheet remains at CDP. This is useful in case the emergency alarm sounds we can compare the sheet to employees at the gathering area. We should consider implementing a buddy system to help with emergencies.
Waste containers should be placed outside offices and labs each night with discarded masks to be disposed of by Janatronics (cleaning company).
