Smithsonian Emergency Assistance Fund

The Smithsonian Emergency Assistance Fund (SEEAF) was set up to assist SI staff facing emergency situations during which the employee lacks the resources to provide the basic necessities of life.

The SEEAF is an emergency loan program available to Smithsonian employees in financial need, i.e., partners loss of job, increased expenses, etc. Loans up to $2,000 with 3% interest may be available. The loans are repayable via payroll deduction. Information may be found at:
