2MASS/NICER Perseus Extinction Data

Description:

2MASS Extinciton maps. This map is made from the Second Incremental Data Release and is missing sections of the cloud, including NGC 1333, but the portions available are little changed in the final map (which is under construction). The data values are magnitudes of visual extinction (Av).

The map is smoothed with a gaussian filter with FWHM = 5 arcminutes or two pixels, so each pixel is 2.5 arcminutes.
